Local 16 (1602 U Street NW) has asked the ANC to combine and amend the 2 “Voluntary Agreements” that the establishment has with the ANC. These are from 2002 and 2007. Local 16 also has a separate Voluntary Agreement from 2011 regarding its sidewalk cafe on New Hampshire Ave NW. The 3 VAs are available here: Local16-VoluntaryAgreements(3).
Local 16 is asking the ANC to consider consolidating and revising the 2002 and 2007 VAs into this new document: Local 16-ProposedNewSettlementAgreement. There would be no change to the 2011 VA. We are carefully reviewing these proposed edits and retrieving the ABRA investigative history.
We will be discussing this request at the ANC 2B overflow meeting on Monday, May 19th at SAIS (1717 Mass Ave NW) Room 500 (7pm-9pm). We had so many regulatory applications this month that we split up our meeting into two separate meetings.
In addition, Commissioner Noah Smith (2B09) and I will be hosting a neighbors’ discussion with Local 16 on Sunday, May 18th from 6:00pm-7:00pm at Local 16 itself (second floor).
