Current License Hours and Limitations for “Rebellion”

Several folks have asked about the liquor license for the new “Rebellion” space (formerly Straits of Malaya, Zabb Asian, and Mum Mum).  In addition to a Voluntary Agreement (discussed in a prior post here), I asked the Alcoholic Beverage Regulatory Agency (ABRA) to forward me the liquor license hours and limitations — for the interior space, the sidewalk cafe (on 18th Street), and the summer garden (on the roofdeck).

Excellent ABRA staff-person Sarah Fashbaugh (who is generally assigned to our area of the city) created the chart below for Rebellion’s hours of operation/sales/service/consumption:

Sarah noted that Rebellion currently does not have any endorsements regarding entertainment.  That means no DJ or live music or dancing.  However, if it is not in violation of DCRA noise codes (i.e., the decibel requirements for the zone), Rebellion can play recorded music or have televisions turned on with sound in both their interior and exterior spaces.
